thank you!!
So Brian Dibetta’s back for JJ? Is he the only one who participated in the Yonker’s classic?
Why has Realbuto been at 103? Can he not make 96 anymore?
Realbuto weighs in at 96 but bumps up to 103. We’ll all see him next Sat at 96 for the Div & Sectionals. Coaches dec. for positive team points
what happened to egypt burrows? why’d he forfeit his match, is he injured again?
I think that’s a misprint. Riverdale went home before the finals and Burrows won by forfeit.
Great tournament at Somers. They allowed teams to fill extra slots and had teammates wrestling against each other for third place. They had a single mat for the finals and introduced everyone. They turned the lights down and lowered a single spotlight on the mat. Every match had the wrestlers going full out. ie; There was even a caution against a wrestler for false start on the bottom. He was behind by five points and they were starting with one second left in the match!
when it’s multiple entry do teams get points for all thier entries? If so why have team point standings? At ardlsey teams put in 3 kids in one weight then had no one at the next weight. Just wondering….....
Congragulations to Zeke for getting his 100th win and winning the Nanuet Tournament, also good job to Dimitri Georges for getting his 100th win.
i know its not even divisions yet but in most weight classes divions wont really make a difference so how about a post for a preview of sections
does realbuto have half the matches at 96 to qualify? have only seen him at 96 twice.
Pinner –
Brian Realbuto has approximately 90 percent of his matches at 96 so he will be there for the postseason. He will win the large-school sectional title at 96.
Grappler –
Sectionals are Sat.-Sun., 2/16-17. The first day of large-school sectionals will be hosted by Clarkstown South while the small schools will be at Westlake.
Both large and small schools will be at Pace University (Goldstein Center) on Sunday.
I’ll have a sectional preview post later this week.
is zeke finally going to take it, at his third trip to sections???
Nick Gizzo of Eastchester is the best wrestler around, hands down best in the section.
who the heck is nick gizzo?????
Why didnt Corey Scott wrestle this weekend or any match last week for that matter? Is he hurt?
Zeke’s going to lose to Weiner
Zeke can beat weiner and everyone else in the section at his weight clas (not trying to bash anyone!!!) Also IF Zeke keeps his head right hje will place well in states.
JJ what makes you say he will lose to weiner? Isn’t zeke clearly superior both technically and athletically?
Hey other JJ at 12:45 pm use a different name.
how come corey oneal is not seeded
“Isn’t zeke clearly superior both technically and athletically?”
no
“Isn’t zeke clearly superior both technically and athletically?
yes
hahahaha…i saw zeke wrestling tonight…and i think about watching weiner wrestle. Weiners lucky if he avoids a tech fall zekes a monster on his feet damn near impossible to take down. Weiner has a flying cradle lol. JJ. Sams good and all but zeke is a technician. I say zekers wins by 10 or more.
I fully agree with 914, Zeke has an arsenal (as I would say) on his feet and is dominant on top where he’s perfect crab rides, legs and even indistinct rides. zeke wins by big margin
While Zeke is good, in comparison to other sec 1 kids, be careful on how high you rate him. It is a whole new ballgame in Rochester. Many kids have gone up and are star struck there first time.
I just watched the finals from 2007 again. Zeke is a much better wrestler today then he was last year at this time. He’s much stronger too. The only one that can keep Zeke from going to states and doing well is Zeke himself. If he stays inside himself he’ll be fine. Warning: don’t be rolling on to your back with the big boys in Rochester Zeke. Those crazy moves won’t work there…stick to the basics.
Even if hes off his game…..weiner can’t take him down. Watch him on the feet.
zeke lost 4-2 to hunter meys. he can beat sam wiener
Weiner is on fire
I think that weiner will take him down, but zeke is a beast
hey tony are you gonna have the seeds to divisionals soon…or some predictions for sectionals
Tony,
What’s your breakdown of the divisionals? I know with 4 divisionals this could take hours. How bout first and second place at each tourney? Where will you be on Saturday?
When will you give us the Divisional results from the John Jay – Cross River Tournament this past Saturday??
