How about this…

February
18

Being that there are numerous anonymous posters who have an opinion on everything from Mr. Grippi to Brian DiBetta to the officials to John Degl/ISW, what do you say you identify yourself?

That would be the right thing to do, considering many of you are advocating the right actions that should be taken against Mr. Grippi and Brian DiBetta.

I agree with you. critical remarks should be matched with a name or the entry deleted. I was at the tourney and didnt “see” how DeBetta put a big gash into the other kid’s head. The point is I didnt see. Therefore, I don’t know the facts and would never comment. I know that every story has two sides. Let the proper people decide what is proper. I’m just happy that Joe and Anthony have 4 kids going to states. Go Fox Lane!

    Steve –

    Thanks.
By the way, I’m awaiting your grade on my predictions. I hope you grade on a curve.

Still no one said how JJ got upset in the team finals. From What i have been reading all year JJ was a lock for winning the sectional finals.

What a great idea! We want to hold other people accountable for their actions, let’s all be willing to be held to account for what we do and say. Let’s use our own names if we want to criticize others.

    Tony,

135 puts you in a big hole! LOL! I don’t think anyone could have predicted that.

Rules were violated. The proper rule interpretations & punishments were applied. Defending or justifying either act on an internet forum only invites further discussion. That’s where we are until it stops.

jojo- JJ had a great team this year, but failed to garner enough points in the wrestle-backs to catch Fox Lane’s overpowering performance in the finals.

These are kids. They are not heroes or villains.

We need to keep perspective on who and what we are writing about. These are teenagers, not adults. We adults therefore share responsibility for their conduct.

Do we (as parents or coaches or old grizzled fans}provide guidance for teens who are overwhelmed with frustration?

Do we control our own frustration when we make offhand demands for vengeance through the legal system?

We need to consider how we effect their egos when we write our opinions. Quite frankly, what is the need for win predictions, except to qualify our own opinions? We should focus on why these kids are good: the work, effort, skills and self worth they deserve and earn.
Save our negative criticism for..our own inability to walk to he mailbox without being short of breath.

Mike Lopez was injured on at the end of the match. The hit after the match was not the cause of his injury. The referee punished John Jay due to an injury that happend during the match.

i know cause i talked to brewster kids and they said that even before the match Mike lopez had a gash on his head and that Dibetta didnt do that.

  12. JJ

JJ just didn’t do as well as expected, it was an upset but a well deserved one to Fox Lane
