Wildcards are picked on Friday Feb 27th.

  5. wrestling's not for wimps

Who does Ryan Osleeb wrestle from Section 8?? Where can you find that info??

  6. shoebox

the 27th is a wednesday, is it friday the 29th or the 27th?

  7. wrestling fan

    wEDNESDAY THE 27TH.

  8. The Veer

In D2, Osleeb has Greg Tanenbaum (Wheatley-8)- first round.

    Unless the bracket is shuffled.

Many Sections have not even held their qualifying tournaments yet.

  9. Hey Now!

Keep in mind that these draws can be changed IF there is the possibility of two returning top 4 state place finishers who will meet prior to the semi-finals.

Another possible change could occur if two kids from the same section meet in the opening match based on the draws. For example, if Ramos was the 2nd highest wild card at 140, he would be moved to the 3rd spot and the 2nd would bump up one to avoid that first round match.

We will not truly know the exact match-ups until one week from today when the wild cards are announced and the wrestlers are placed in their brackets to see if there are any problems. Then we’ll know for sure and the fun of predicting the results will really start.

  10. ?

are the kidsfrom catholic good cz arcara and swertfager have catholic kids?

  11. Observer 3

    Who determines the draws?

  12. shoebox

im guessing the state board does it

  13. Rick Esteves

As of now, I’d say Section One has a pretty good draw for the 1st round.Good luck to everyone, wrestle hard and
aggressive for 6 minutes.Remember what happened to the #1 seed last year @ 125

  14. someguy

  17. wrestling's not for wimps

  18. Pete F

Actually, all of us should fan out and film the other sections finals this weekend. We can see if they have more than one move…

  19. Read_between_the_lines

Its not if you only have one move it is how well you do that move.
Jantzen had the crab and everyone knows about rugirillo. but cn they stop the cookiemonster cradle? that is the question?

    csquared = state title

  20. Joe M

State draws are selected at random by the state wrestling chairperson. The only stipulations are:

    1. One at-large in each group of 4 wrestlers (ie in a 16-man bracket lines 1-4, 5-8, etc).

    2. As posted above by Hey Now, wrestlers are separated so top 4 finishers do not meet until the latest round possible (2 top 4’s are separated into separate halves of the bracket, 3 top 4’s separated so highest finisher is opposite next 2 who cannot meet before the semis, etc.)

    3. Also posted by Hey Now, an at-large is moved if he wrestles someone from their same section or is a returning top 4 from the previous year.

  21. wrestler152

Cook have any videos been posted on youtube yet, because if they have that sucks for you but good luck anyway. (Also good luck to any other wrestler in our section going to states.)

  22. Read_between_the_lines

    cookiemonster, got milk?

  23. cookiemonster101

i dont think any have, not of sectionals anyway

and i’m enjoying some milk….right now

  24. no video

there is no video of sectionals. The youtube videos were taken from hudsonvalleyhswrestling.com He wasnt at sectionals or divisionals.

  25. cookiemonster101

if anyone saw the highlight tape of section 1 wrestlers on youtube i hope they think that its pretty offensive to udit thakur and all the fox lane champs

  26. p

well it was for the Norty County News right? and mayb they dont cover fox lane and nyack and newro etc

  27. wrestling fan

Its on you tube. Not every match though so i think you are safe cookie.

  28. wrestling fan

it skips 140, 145 & 152. so you are good.

  29. raj

hahaha cook that north county news video, my dad showed it to me,

to p- cook doesnt mean it was offensive because they didnt cover only foxlane and me,

they kinda sorta skipped every single foxlane finals match except for the 189 john jay win,

and they also labeled only the winners name for each video…but at 135 they labeled it joe hauser…not me
and they showed hausers takedowns and liek 2 of my moves…but not the end result
hahaha its all good tho cook, actions speak louder than online videos…or something like that

ps- i sincerly regret having joined a blog comment being a wrestler…but my dad sadly recently became addicted to the talking that goes on, so i thought id speak on my behalf so he wouldnt have to

  30. small schools

Is fox lane in the coverage area? I know they left out Occhipinti’s win at 96, and he’s in the area, and I think North Salem is also but they also left out Osleeb.

  31. raj

yeah i have no idea what the coverage area of the station is…in fact i have no idea what the northy county news is haha but anyone who tries to give coverage to wrestling is alrite w.e. the quality

  32. cradler

cookiemonster and Read_between_the_lines are just complete morons..i cant even read some of the stuff they say its like embarrassing you make yourselves look more and more stupid after every post

  33. cookiemonster101

and you call yourself the cradler…

  34. a wrestler

can anyone give a link to the videos of the section finals???
    thanks in advance

  35. Wrastler

    Cookiemonster101
