A y- o Tony i tried the links and had a problem … neg results there . I case i missed it thanks for the the season help

    Tony,
I may have missed it, but Ryan Osleeb didn’t get honorable mention. And Mike Ahearn probably should have got second team, but at the least he should have gotten honorable mention.

  3. rockland guy

    hey tony,
Do you have the empire state qualifier results for freestyle & greco?

  4. 2008

I also noticed Ryan Osleeb was not mentioned. After beating 2 state ranked wrestlers and placing 5th as a freshman at states,im surprised he was not listed. Hope the slight motivates him for next year.

  5. States

I also noted Osleeb was ranked 9th in the state at 112 after the states and yet his own local newspaper honored others in his weight class (including opponents he beat) without mentioning him???? Must have been a mistake…..

  6. Sobored

Osleep was the 4th best 112 pounder in the area behind flamio rose and delmothe. He lost to the top 4 kids in d1 last year. state rankings are worth less than the paper they are written on. he had a great weakend at states and will prob b a 4x small school sec champ but he wouldnt have been ranked if he was d1. he also gets the best of both worlds train with d1 wrestle d2.

  7. States

True. He lost to Delomothe at the super 16 by one point and Rose by one point at beacon. Not bad for a 9th grader. I think his performance at states are more indicative of his abilities. Beating Cody Dill and Dan Gormally was proof(considered significantly better than Rose of Delomothe). After all both Rose and Delomothe were excellent and could probable beat anyone on any given day. Nevertheless we can choose to emphasize what we like. I choose to emphasize Flamios 2nd place finish at states rather than his loss to a very excellent Cabibo(yet to be section champ). I would apply the same courtesy to Osleep ? Osleeb?

  8. SummerWrestler

Hey Tony do you no (cuz i heard they came out) the preseason TEAM Rankings?

I say team b/c u cant rank individual weights till the beginning of the season b/c of new guys that come in and wrestlers that were nobody’s last year that train in the off season and become somebody’s in the upcoming season.
